Here's To The One - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We can all be thankful for the One who made the morning bright and taught the stars to shine. We can be thankful for the One who graced the dead of night and pulled us from the dark, setting our hearts alight.

Psalm 136:7-9 says, “To Him who made the great lights, for His lovingkindness is everlasting: The sun to rule by day, for His lovingkindness is everlasting, The moon and stars to rule by night, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.”

We can be thankful for the One who made our hearts to sing and opened up our eyes, washing away our sin. We can be thankful for the One who gave His life for ours, breaking all our chains and setting us free.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

We can be thankful for all the things that His love has done, for the way He wiped away our past, and for the future and the things to come. We can be thankful for our Savior’s everlasting love.

Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Let us give thanks to the Way, the Truth, and the Life that we live in the light that He gives. Let us give thanks to the Name of Jesus over everything. Let us give thanks for His kindness, His goodness, His freedom, and the day we will see Him. Let us give thanks for His glory, His greatness, and His kingdom.

Let us give thanks to the One who made the morning bright and taught the stars to shine. Let us give thanks to the One who gave His life for ours, breaking all our chains and setting us free. Let us give thanks to the Name of Jesus over everything.

Amen.
