Hillsong United is a worship collective that emerged from Hillsong Church. It originated as an extension of Hillsong's youth ministry in 1998, comprising several worship leaders, including Joel Houston, Taya Smith-Gaukrodger, Matt Crocker, Jonathon Douglass, Brooke Fraser, Jad Gillies, and Benjamin Hastings, who rotate as needed.

Darlene Zschech, a well-known Hillsong worship leader, advised the group to record an album after the youth ministry composed several songs. This resulted in their first extended play, One, which was released simultaneously with Hillsong Worship's album Touching Heaven Changing Earth. Since then, Hillsong United has released 14 live albums and five studio albums, adding up to a total of 16 albums.

Hillsong United leads worship during church services and often performs during concerts worldwide as part of their tours. Their music and message have touched the hearts of many, making them incredibly popular and inspiring worshippers worldwide.
