Intro
Verse 1
A glimmer in time
Like a child chasing shadows
My back to the light
I was lost in a fog till
You caught my eye
Through the smoke and the
mirrors, a glimmer of life
Chorus
belong
Where I'll see the fullness of
love
A child face to face with my
God
Lost in Your awesome wonder
While I wait, I will not be
afraid
My faith will remain all the
same
My hope in the things not yet
seen
Found in the greatest of these
Verse 2
exploding in light
At the cross where the curtains
were ripped from my eyes
I found heaven in pieces in
glimmer and dust
Broken glass in reflection till
we shine like the sun
Bridge Instrumental
(I know that You love me)
(Your love never fails)
(Your love never fails)
Bridge
All that matters is love
(I know that You love me)
So let love take over
(I know that You love me)
Not just in part but
In all that You are
(Your love never fails)
Let Your love take over
(Your love never fails)
Glimmer In The Dust - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]
We all have moments in our lives when we feel lost and alone, like a glimmer in the dust. We can feel like we are chasing shadows, our backs to the light. But God is always there, even when we can’t see Him. He is the one who catches our eye and brings us back to life.
Psalm 139:7-10 says, “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”
God is always with us, no matter where we go or what we do. He is the one who brings us out of the darkness and into the light. He is the one who brings us hope and love in the midst of our despair.
In the song, we are reminded that when all is said and done, all that matters is love. God’s love is the greatest of these, and it never fails. Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
God’s love is the one thing that will never fail us. It is the one thing that will always be there, no matter what. So let us remember to turn to God in our moments of despair and to trust in His love and grace. Let us remember that He is always with us, and that He will never leave us.
