Verse 1

When You speak
Darkness has to bow
Confusion has its final hour
When You speak
Mountains rise and fall
Its tears down every
wall around me

Verse 2

When You speak
You breathe upon the dust
You come alive in us
When You speak
You silence every fear
We feel Your Spirit
here around us

Chorus

Let there be light
Let there be light
Until it fills up every space
Come and have your way
Let there be light
Let there be light
Just one word and I am changed
Come and have Your way

Interlude

Bridge

Now You're everything we seek
As deep cries out to deep
We will see God
Here Your glory on display
Jesus, take your place
We will see God

Let There Be Light - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

Let There Be Light is a powerful song that speaks to the power of God's Word. When God speaks, darkness has to bow and confusion has its final hour. Mountains rise and fall, and tears fall down every wall around us. When God speaks, He breathes upon the dust and comes alive in us. He silences every fear and we feel His Spirit here around us.

The Bible speaks to this power of God's Word in Psalm 33:6-9 which says, “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.”

God's Word is powerful and when He speaks, things happen. We can see this in the creation of the world, but we can also see it in our own lives. When God speaks, He brings light into our darkness and confusion. He brings peace and hope into our lives. He silences our fears and brings His Spirit into our lives.

Let us take a moment to reflect on the power of God's Word and to invite Him to have His way in our lives. Let us open our hearts to His light and let it fill up every space. Let us cry out to Him and let Him take His place in our lives. Let us see God and His glory on display. Let there be light!
