Hope's Anthem

The song Hope's Anthem by Bethel Music is a powerful reminder of the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. The lyrics speak of how Jesus is awakening the hope in us and calling forth our destiny. He is breathing life into our souls and we will thirst for Him and Him alone. He has come like the rain that showers on the barren plain and our hearts and tongues confess Jesus Christ, the hope of man. 

The Bible speaks of this hope in many places. Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” This verse reminds us that our hope is in God and that He will fill us with joy and peace as we trust in Him. 

The bridge of the song speaks of how Jesus is bringing hope to the hopeless, giving His heart to the broken, and sharing His home with the orphan. This is a beautiful reminder of the love and compassion that Jesus has for us. We can find this same love and compassion in the Bible. In Isaiah 61:1-3, it says, “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” 

The song Hope's Anthem is a beautiful reminder of the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. He is the hope of the nations and the Father's heart we are embracing. He is the joy and the song we are declaring. Let us take a moment to reflect on the hope that we have in Jesus and to thank Him for His love and compassion.
