My Anchor - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

The song “My Anchor” by Passion is a beautiful reminder of the faithfulness of God. The lyrics remind us that God is the Lord Almighty and His every word is sure. No matter what storms we face in life, we can be sure that God’s love is unfailing and He will be our shelter in the storm. 

The Bible tells us in Psalm 46:1-3, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” We can be sure that no matter what storms we face in life, God will be our refuge and strength. 

The bridge of the song reminds us that we can hold on to God and He will hold on to us. We can trust in His faithfulness and He will never let us go. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 13:5-6, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’ So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?’” We can be sure that God will never leave us or forsake us. He will always be our helper and we can trust in His faithfulness. 

No matter what storms we face in life, we can be sure that God will be our anchor and our shelter in the storm. We can trust in His faithfulness and He will never let us go.
