Heaven And Earth - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We are blessed to have a God who loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die for us. Heaven and Earth collided when Jesus came to earth to save us from our sins. In the song Heaven and Earth by Hillsong Worship, we are reminded of the love and grace that Jesus brought to us.

The lyrics “Love that was foretold, when the prophets spoke of one to come, Heaven came for us” remind us of the prophecy of Jesus’ coming. Isaiah 9:6 says “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Jesus was the one that was foretold by the prophets and He came to bring us salvation.

The chorus of the song says “Heaven and Earth collide, the Savior for everyone has come, bringing the dead to life, all for the glory of Your Name.” Jesus came to bring us life and to bring glory to God’s name. John 11:25-26 says “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” Jesus came to bring us life and to give us hope.

The bridge of the song says “By His stripes we are healed, by His death we can live, in Jesus Name, in Jesus Name. All oppression will cease, every captive released, in Jesus Name, in Jesus Name.” Jesus’ death and resurrection brought us healing and freedom. Isaiah 53:5 says “But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” Jesus’ death and resurrection brought us healing and freedom from our sins.

Heaven and Earth collided when Jesus came to earth to save us from our sins. We are blessed to have a God who loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die for us. Let us remember the love and grace that Jesus brought to us and give glory to His name.
