Something Has To Break

In Red Rocks Worship’s song “Something Has To Break”, we are reminded that sometimes we need to make a change in order to experience true life and joy. We can become so comfortable in our routines and habits that we forget to seek out the new and exciting things that God has in store for us. 

The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 that there is a time for everything, and that includes a time for change. We can’t stay in the same place forever, and sometimes we need to break away from the same old stories, lies, glory, faces, pain, and places in order to experience the new life that God has for us. 

The bridge of the song reminds us that we are ready for a new beginning and a new start. We can find this new beginning in Jesus. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we are told that “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” When we accept Jesus into our lives, we can experience a new beginning and a new start. 

Red Rocks Worship’s song “Something Has To Break” reminds us that sometimes we need to make a change in order to experience true life and joy. We can find this new beginning in Jesus, and He will give us the strength and courage to make the changes that we need to make in order to experience the new life that He has for us.
