My King Forever - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

Our King is forever! We can take comfort in knowing that no matter what life throws our way, our King will always reign. In the song “My King Forever” by Josh Baldwin, we are reminded of the power and majesty of our King.

The lyrics of the song remind us of the many titles of our King. He is the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Ancient of Days, the Alpha and Omega, the Bright and Morning Star, the Lamb of God, and the Great I Am. These titles are all found in the Bible.

Revelation 19:16 says, “On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” This verse reminds us that our King is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

Daniel 7:13-14 says, “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.” This verse reminds us that our King is the Ancient of Days and His dominion is everlasting.

Revelation 22:13 says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” This verse reminds us that our King is the Alpha and Omega.

Revelation 22:16 says, “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” This verse reminds us that our King is the Bright and Morning Star.

John 1:29 says, “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, ‘Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!’” This verse reminds us that our King is the Lamb of God.

Exodus 3:14 says, “God said to Moses, ‘I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: “I am has sent me to you.”’” This verse reminds us that our King is the Great I Am.

Our King is forever! He will reign forever and ever. We can take comfort in knowing that no matter what life throws our way, our King will always reign. Let us praise Him and give Him glory for He is worthy!
