Chasing You

In the song Chasing You, Bethel Music speaks of a deep longing to be close to God. We can relate to this desire, as we are all called to pursue a relationship with Him. In Psalm 63:1, David says, “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” We can feel this same longing for God, and we can be encouraged by the fact that He is always ready to meet us. 

The lyrics of Chasing You speak of a desire to be close to God, to follow Him and to be where He is. This is a beautiful picture of our relationship with God. He is always calling us to come closer, and He is always ready to meet us. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” We can be encouraged by this promise, that no matter how far we have strayed, God is always ready to welcome us back. 

The song also speaks of being captivated by God’s love. We can be reminded of the love that God has for us, and the fact that He is always pursuing us. In Jeremiah 31:3, God says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” We can be encouraged by this truth, that no matter what we do, God’s love for us is never ending. 

Chasing You is a beautiful reminder of the deep longing we have for God, and the fact that He is always ready to meet us. We can be encouraged by the truth that God is always pursuing us, and that His love for us is never ending. Let us take this time to draw closer to God, and to be reminded of His love for us.
