LION - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

The song “Lion” by Elevation Worship is a powerful reminder of the power and glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The lyrics remind us that Jesus is the “God of Jacob, Great I Am, King of angels, Son of Man” and that He is “the Pride of Zion, prophet spoke, Our Messiah, flesh and bone.” The chorus of the song proclaims “Hail hail Lion of Judah, Let the Lion roar” and the bridge calls us to “Prepare the way, Prepare the way of the Lord.”

These lyrics are a reminder of the power of Jesus and His ultimate sacrifice for us. The Bible tells us in Revelation 5:5 that Jesus is the “Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David,” and that He is the only one worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals. Jesus is the only one who can save us from our sins and give us eternal life.

The song also calls us to “Prepare the way of the Lord” and this is a reminder of the words of the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 40:3-5 which says “A voice of one calling: ‘In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together.

We are called to prepare the way for the Lord and to make straight paths for Him. We must make sure that our lives are in line with His will and that we are living in a way that honors Him. We must also be willing to humble ourselves and make our lives low before Him.

Let us take a moment to reflect on the power and glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us remember that He is the Lion of Judah and that He is worthy of all our praise and worship. Let us prepare the way for Him and make our lives low before Him. Let us proclaim with the song “Hail hail Lion of Judah, Let the Lion roar!”
