Intro

Verse 1

Every time I tried to make
it on my own
Every time I tried to stand
and start to fall
And all those lonely roads
that I have travelled on
There was Jesus

Verse 2

When the life I built came
crashing to the ground
When the friends I had were
nowhere to be found
I couldn't see it then
but I can see it now
There was Jesus

Chorus

In the waiting in the searching
In the healing and the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the
broken pieces
Every minute every moment
Where I've been and where I'm
going
Even when I didn't know it or
couldn't see it
There was Jesus

Verse 3

For this man who needs
amazing kind of grace
For forgiveness at a
price I couldn't pay
I'm not perfect so I thank
God every day
There was Jesus
(There was Jesus)

You are always there

There Was Jesus - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We all have times in our lives when we feel like we are alone and have no one to turn to. We try to make it on our own, but we often find ourselves falling short. We may feel like we have no one to turn to, but the truth is that Jesus is always there.

The lyrics of the song “There Was Jesus” by Zach Williams and Dolly Parton remind us that no matter what we are going through, Jesus is always there. The chorus says “In the waiting in the searching, In the healing and the hurting, Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces, Every minute every moment, Where I’ve been and where I’m going, Even when I didn’t know it or couldn’t see it, There was Jesus.”

The Bible tells us that Jesus is always with us. In Matthew 28:20, Jesus says “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Jesus is always there, even when we don’t know it or can’t see it. He is there in the waiting, in the searching, in the healing, and in the hurting. He is there in the fire and in the flood. He is always with us, and we never have to walk alone.

No matter what we are going through, Jesus is always there. He is our source of strength and hope. He is our refuge and our strength. He is our hope and our salvation. He is always there, and He will never leave us.
