Verse 1

I searched the world
But it couldn’t fill me
Man’s empty praise
and treasures that fade
Are never enough

Then You came along
And put me back together
And every desire is now
satisfied
Here in Your love

Oh there’s nothing better than You
There’s nothing better than You
Lord there’s nothing
Nothing is better than You

To show You my weakness
My failures and flaws
Lord You’ve seen them all
And You still call me friend

‘Cause the God of the mountain
Is the God of the valley
There’s not a place
Your mercy and grace
Won’t find me again

Lord there’s nothing
Nothing is better than You

Graves Into Gardens - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We all search for something to fill us, something that will satisfy our desires and make us feel complete. We look to the world for answers, but it can never fill us. We turn to man’s empty praise and treasures that fade, but they are never enough.

But then God comes along and puts us back together. He satisfies every desire and calls us His friend. He is the only one who can turn mourning into dancing, give beauty for ashes, turn shame into glory, turn graves into gardens, turn bones into armies, and turn seas into highways.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:8, “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” We can take refuge in the Lord and find satisfaction in Him. He is the only one who can fill us and make us complete.

Isaiah 61:3 says, “To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.” God will give us beauty for ashes and joy instead of mourning. He will turn our graves into gardens and our bones into armies.

We can trust in the Lord and find our satisfaction in Him. He is the only one who can turn our mourning into dancing and our graves into gardens. He is the only one who can fill us and make us complete.
