Gone

We all have moments in our lives when we feel weighed down by our past mistakes and sins. We can feel like we are shackled to our past and that we can never be free. But the truth is that Jesus has already paid the price for our sins and we can be free. 

The song “Gone” by Elevation Worship is a reminder of this truth. The lyrics remind us that Jesus shed His blood for us and that our shame is gone. We can live like our chains are gone and that our sin is dead and gone. We can shout like the battle is won and live like the stone is rolled away. 

The Bible tells us that Jesus’ death on the cross was the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Jesus paid the price for our sins so that we can be free. 

We can also find freedom in praising God. The lyrics remind us that praise is a weapon that will overcome. Psalm 149:6 says, “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand.” When we praise God, we can find freedom from our sins and our past mistakes. 

The song “Gone” is a reminder that Jesus has already paid the price for our sins and that we can be free. We can live like our chains are gone and that our sin is dead and gone. We can find freedom in praising God and in the power of the blood of Jesus.
