Intro

Verse 1

Speak to me when the
silence steals my voice
You understand me You
understand me
Come to me in the valley
of unknowns
You understand me You
understand me
You understand me God You
understand me

Chorus

I throw all my cares before
You
My doubts and fears don't
scare You
You're bigger than I thought
You were
You're bigger than I thought
So I stop all negotiations
With the God of all creation
You're bigger than I thought
You were
You're bigger than I thought
You were

I believe but help my unbelief
You understand me You understand
me
Help me reach the faith that's
underneath
You understand me You understand
me
You understand me God You
understand me

Bridge

I will rest in the Father's
hands
Leave the rest in the Father's
hands

Bigger Than I Thought - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We all have moments of doubt and fear, when we feel like we can’t go on. But in those moments, we can turn to God and find comfort in His understanding. In the song “Bigger Than I Thought” by Passion, we are reminded that God is bigger than our doubts and fears. He is bigger than anything we can imagine.

The lyrics “I throw all my cares before You, my doubts and fears don’t scare You” remind us of the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” We can cast all our cares and worries on God, knowing that He is bigger than anything we can face.

The lyrics “I believe but help my unbelief” remind us of the story of the father who brought his son to Jesus in Mark 9:24. The father said, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Jesus responded to the father’s faith and healed his son. In the same way, we can come to Jesus with our doubts and fears, and He will help us overcome them.

Finally, the lyrics “I will rest in the Father’s hands, leave the rest in the Father’s hands” remind us of the words of Jesus in John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” We can rest in the Father’s hands, knowing that He is bigger than anything we can face.

No matter what doubts and fears we face, we can turn to God and find comfort in His understanding. He is bigger than anything we can imagine, and He will help us overcome our unbelief. We can rest in the Father’s hands, knowing that He is bigger than anything we can face.
