Heart of God - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We all have moments in our lives when we feel broken and defeated. We can feel like our best efforts are not enough and that we are not worthy of God's love. But the truth is that God's love is perfect and unconditional. He loves us no matter what we have done or how we have failed.

The song Heart of God by Hillsong Young & Free reminds us of this truth. The lyrics say, "Your mercy triumphs over judgement, love wider than horizons, stronger than all sin. Lord Your kindness leads us to repentance, to the heart of God." This is a reminder of the truth found in Romans 5:8 which says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God's love is so powerful and so wide that it can reach us even in our darkest moments. He is always ready to forgive us and welcome us back into His arms. He is always ready to give us a fresh start and a new beginning.

The bridge of the song says, "All to Jesus I surrender, all to Him I freely give. I will ever love and trust Him, in His presence daily live." This is a reminder of the truth found in Romans 12:1 which says, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

We can surrender our lives to Jesus and trust Him to lead us to repentance and to the heart of God. We can trust Him to give us a new beginning and to fill us with His perfect love. We can trust Him to be with us in our darkest moments and to never leave us.

Let us remember the truth of God's perfect love and mercy and surrender our lives to Him. Let us trust Him to lead us to the heart of God and to fill us with His perfect love.
