This is the day,
that You have made
Whatever comes,
I wont complain
For all my hope,
is in Your name
And now Your joy,
awaits my praise

And I will sing of
Your mercy and Your love
Your love is unfailing,
Lord I am grateful

When I was down, You brought me out
You set my feet, on higher ground
So here I stand, You are my God
Your faithfulness, my Solid Rock

Interlude

Bridge

And as we lift our hands up
The heavens open, heavens open
So let our lives declare the love
Our God has spoken over us

Grateful - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We serve a God who is faithful and loving. He is always with us, even when we feel like we are alone. In the song “Grateful” by Elevation Worship, we are reminded of the goodness of God and how we should be thankful for all He has done.

The lyrics of the song remind us of Psalm 118:24 which says, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” We should be grateful for each day that God has given us and for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us.

The chorus of the song says, “I give thanks for all you have done and I will sing of your mercy and your love. Your love is unfailing, Lord I am grateful.” This is a reminder of 1 Thessalonians 5:18 which says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” We should be thankful for all that God has done for us, even in the midst of difficult times. His love is unfailing and we can always rely on Him.

The bridge of the song says, “And as we lift our hands up, the heavens open, heavens open. So let our lives declare the love our God has spoken over us.” This is a reminder of Psalm 134:2 which says, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord.” We should lift our hands in praise and worship to God and let our lives declare His love.

Let us be grateful for all that God has done and all that He will do. Let us lift our hands in praise and worship and let our lives declare His love.
