One With God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You Our Christ

What A Beautiful Name - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

What a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus! In the song “What A Beautiful Name” by Hillsong Worship, we are reminded of the power and glory of Jesus’ name. The lyrics remind us that Jesus was the Word at the beginning, One with God the Lord Most High. His hidden glory in creation is now revealed in Him, our Christ.

We are also reminded that Jesus didn’t want heaven without us, so He brought heaven down. His love was greater than our sin, and nothing can separate us from Him. His name is a wonderful name, and nothing compares to it.

The bridge of the song reminds us that death could not hold Him, and the veil tore before Him. He silenced the boast of sin and grave, and the heavens are roaring with praise for His glory. He is raised to life again, and He has no rival or equal. His is the Kingdom, the glory, and the Name above all names.

What a powerful Name it is, the Name of Jesus! We can find this truth in the Bible, in Philippians 2:9-11 which says, “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Let us remember the power and glory of Jesus’ name, and let us proclaim it to the world. Let us remember that nothing can stand against His name, and that He is the Lord of all. Let us praise Him for His love and mercy, and for His power and glory. Let us proclaim His name above all names, and let us worship Him in spirit and in truth.
