O Praise The Name (Anástasis) - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]
O Praise the Name of the Lord our God! Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, bled and died for us on the cross at Calvary. He was laid in a tomb, and on the third day, He rose again, conquering death and the grave. We can find this story in the Bible, in Matthew 27:32-28:6.
The lyrics of this song remind us of the power of Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection. He was willing to lay down His life for us, and in doing so, He conquered death and the grave. We can find hope and comfort in knowing that Jesus is alive and will one day return in robes of white.
The Bible tells us in Romans 6:9-10 that “we know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God.” Jesus’ death and resurrection give us hope and assurance that He will never die again.
As we sing this song, let us remember the power of Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection. Let us praise His Name forevermore and look forward to the day when He will return in robes of white. Let us fix our gaze on Jesus’ face and be filled with hope and assurance that He will never die again.
O Praise the Name of the Lord our God!
