Piano: A powerful, gritty piano with a wide stereo sound. It uses oct harmonics, compression and a thick reverb to get a huge, wide sound. The piano is normally bright but lowering the mod wheel will darken the tone by lowering the cutoff filter. The “ValhallaR” reverb plugin uses a large room reverb with a pre-delay of 10ms and a decay of 6s. The piano will work well with any reverb with similar settings.
Pad: A dark, ambient synth pad. With the mod wheel up it has a gritty, buzzier tone. Lowering the mod wheel darkens the tone for a more ambient sound.
Bass Pulse - Synth: A three layer patch. The first layer covers the lower portion of the keyboard (B-1 and down) and uses a deep bass synth. The second layer in the middle portion of the keyboard (C-2 to D-3) a hollow plucked synth that pulses at a 1/8 note rate. The third layer covers the top portion of the keyboard (D#-3 and up) and uses a bright, shimmery synth with a quick attack and decay and low sustain. Raising the mod wheel opens the cutoff filter for all of the layers and increases the pulsing rate to 1/16 notes.
Buzzy Pulse - Pad: A two layer patch. The first layer covers the lower portion of the keyboard (C-3 and down) and uses a buzzy bass synth that pulses at a 1/16 note rate. The second layer in the top portion of the keyboard (C#-3 and up) uses an ambient, airy synth pad with light reverb.
