Born on January 1, 1982, Daniel John Bashta is an American contemporary Christian singer and songwriter. He grew up in Reserve, Louisiana, where he developed a passion for music.

On September 6, 2011, Bashta released his first full-length studio album, The Sounds of Daniel Bashta, with the Integrity Music record label. The album debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard Magazine Christian Albums and Heatseekers charts for the week of September 24, 2011. One of its songs, "Like a Lion," was later re-recorded by the Newsboys as "God's Not Dead" and became a major Christian radio hit.

Bashta's second album, The Invisible, was released as an iTunes LP and included downloadable chord charts and special music videos, including "The Invisible Journey." Bashta's dedication to creating impactful Christian music has made him an influential figure in the contemporary Christian music scene.
