David Wallace Crowder, born on November 29, 1971, is an American contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and author who goes by his mononymous stage name Crowder since 2012. Prior to his solo career, he was the lead vocalist of the David Crowder Band which has since disbanded.

In 2012, Crowder began his solo career alongside sixstepsrecords and Sparrow Records labels. His first solo album, Neon Steeple, was released on May 27, 2014. The album's first single, "I Am," peaked at No. 3 on the Christian Songs chart on November 25, 2013. In 2016, he released his second album, American Prodigal, followed by his third album, I Know a Ghost, which was released on November 9, 2018.

Crowder's fourth album titled Milk & Honey was released on June 11, 2021. With his expressive voice and musical talent on a range of instruments, Crowder is a renowned figure in the Christian music industry.
