Taya Gaukrodger grew up in a quaint country town in the northern region of Australia and relocated to Sydney in 2010 to pursue a career in music. Upon arriving, she began volunteering in youth and young adult ministries at Hillsong Church, where she got involved in worship music.

In 2013, Taya's voice was featured on Hillsong United's hit songs "Oceans" and "Touch The Sky," which introduced her remarkable talent as a singer to the world. Since then, her voice has become an unmistakable clarion call to worship, inspiring countless people around the globe.
