World Needs Jesus - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]
Our world is in desperate need of Jesus. Everywhere we look, we see pain, heartbreak, chaos, division, violence, and injustice. It can be overwhelming and it can be hard to know how to respond. But we can take comfort in the fact that Jesus is with us in the midst of it all.
The Bible tells us in Isaiah 9:6, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Jesus is the Prince of Peace and He is the answer to the chaos and violence in our world.
We can be His hands and feet in the world. We can be His light in the darkness. We can be His blessed peace in the midst of violence. We can shout His name in the face of injustice. We can turn our hearts to Him and sing of His great name.
We can also pray for our world. We can pray for healing and for freedom. We can pray for eyes to see the hurting and the broken. We can pray for our lives to align with every word Jesus says.
Let us turn to Jesus in our time of need. Let us lift our prayers to Him and trust that He is the answer. He is the Prince of Peace and He is the only one who can bring true healing and freedom to our world.
