Verse 1
waiting
Without hope without light
Till from heaven You came
running
There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and
prophets
To a virgin came the Word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt
Interlude
Chorus
the Son
Praise the Spirit three in one
God of glory Majesty
Praise forever to the King
of Kings
Verse 2
And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation
You did not despise the cross
For even in Your suffering
You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation
Jesus for our sake You died
Verse 3
All of heaven held it’s breath
Till that stone was moved for good
For the Lamb had conquered death
And the dead rose from their tombs
And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who’d come
To the Father are restored
Verse 4
Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel shall not faint
By His blood and in His name
And in His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ
Who has resurrected me
King Of Kings - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]
We are all born into darkness, without hope and without light. But then, from heaven, Jesus came running, with mercy in His eyes. He fulfilled the law and the prophets, and was born to a virgin, from a throne of endless glory, to a cradle in the dirt.
Let us praise the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, three in one. Let us praise God of glory and majesty, forever to the King of Kings. Jesus revealed the kingdom coming, and reconciled the lost, redeeming the whole creation. He did not despise the cross, even in His suffering, knowing this was our salvation.
On the morning that Jesus rose, all of heaven held its breath, until that stone was moved for good, for the Lamb had conquered death. The dead rose from their tombs, and the angels stood in awe, for the souls of all who’d come to the Father were restored.
The Church of Christ was born, and the Spirit lit the flame. This gospel truth of old shall not kneel, shall not faint. By His blood and in His name, and in His freedom, we are free. For the love of Jesus Christ, who has resurrected us.
Let us remember the words of Romans 6:4, “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Jesus’ resurrection is our hope and our salvation. Let us praise Him forever, for He is the King of Kings.
Amen.
