Intro

Verse 1

Before I spoke a word
You were singing over me
You have been so, so good
to me
Before I took a breath, You
breathed Your life in me
You have been so, so kind
to me

Chorus

Oh the overwhelming, never
ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights
'till I'm found, leaves
the ninety nine
I couldn't earn it I don't
deserve it Still, You give
yourself away
Oh the overwhelming,
never ending, reckless love of God

Verse 2

When I was Your foe,
still Your love fought for me
You have been so, so good to me
When I felt no worth, You paid
it all for me
You have been so, so kind to me

Bridge

There's no shadow You won't light up,
mountain You won't climb up, coming
after me
There's no wall You won't kick down,
no lie You won't tear down, coming
after me

Reckless Love - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

The song Reckless Love by Cory Asbury is a beautiful reminder of the unconditional love of God. The lyrics remind us that even before we spoke a word, God was singing over us. He breathed His life into us and has been so good and kind to us. Even when we were His foes, His love fought for us. He paid it all for us, even when we felt no worth.

The Bible tells us that God's love is unconditional and never-ending. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God's love is so great that He sent His only Son to die for us, even when we were still sinners. His love is so powerful that it can break down any wall and tear down any lie.

God's love is truly overwhelming and never-ending. We can never earn it or deserve it, but He still gives Himself away to us. We can take comfort in knowing that no matter what we do, God's love will never fail us. His love is so reckless and so strong that it will always be there for us.
