Intro

Verse 1

The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the
world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every
curse upon Him

Interlude

Verse 2

One final breath He gave
As Heaven looked away
The Son of God was
laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

Pre-Chorus

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could
not be overcome
Now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Chorus

Forever, He is glorified
Forever, He is lifted high
Forever, He is risen
He is alive; He is alive

Bridge

We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

Bridge 2

We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

Forever - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

The song “Forever” by Kari Jobe is a powerful reminder of the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross. The lyrics tell the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection, and how His perfect love overcame death and rendered it defeated.

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 that “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jesus’ death and resurrection gave us the victory over death and sin.

The song also reminds us of the power of Jesus’ resurrection. The ground shook and the stone was rolled away, and Jesus was alive. We can celebrate this victory through singing “Hallelujah” and praising our resurrected King.

The song “Forever” is a beautiful reminder of the power of Jesus’ death and resurrection. We can be thankful for the victory He has given us and celebrate His perfect love that has overcome death. Let us sing “Hallelujah” and praise our resurrected King forever.
