Beneath the cross
of Jesus Christ
No shadow remains for
shame to hide
Redemption shone for all to see
Perfection bore our penalty
With a grace so glorious

Immortal day the
veil was torn
When mercy donned
A crown of thorns
As law gave way to liberty
And freedom for humanity
With a grace so glorious

Oh the glory of the Savior's love
Surrounding our surrender
To know forever we
are welcomed home

Chorus

Crowned in glory to glory
Worthy is the Lord of all
The glory forever
Holy is the Lord

Verse 3

Triumphant praises without end
All hailing the King of righteousness
And every eye beholds the One
Our hearts we're undeserving of
With a grace so glorious

Instrumental

Verse 4

O wondrous day when I will see
The face of Him who ransomed me
I'll fall in worship at His feet
And rise to reign eternally
In a grace so glorious
In a grace so glorious

Grace So Glorious - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

We are blessed to have a Savior who loves us so much that He was willing to die for us. The song “Grace So Glorious” by Elevation Worship is a beautiful reminder of the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ.

The lyrics of the song remind us of the sacrifice Jesus made for us. In the first verse, we are reminded that beneath the cross of Jesus Christ, no shadow remains for shame to hide. This is a reference to Romans 8:1 which says, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Jesus’ death on the cross was the ultimate sacrifice for our sins and it is through His grace that we are saved.

The second verse of the song speaks of the day when the veil was torn and mercy donned a crown of thorns. This is a reference to Matthew 27:51 which says, “And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.” This was a sign that the way to God was now open to all who believe in Jesus.

The pre-chorus of the song speaks of the glory of the Savior’s love and how we are welcomed home. This is a reminder of John 14:2-3 which says, “In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” Jesus’ love for us is so great that He has prepared a place for us in Heaven.

The chorus of the song speaks of being crowned in glory to glory and how worthy the Lord is of all. This is a reminder of Revelation 5:12 which says, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” Jesus is worthy of all our praise and worship.

The third verse of the song speaks of triumphant praises without end and how all are hailing the King of righteousness. This is a reminder of Psalm 145:1 which says, “I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever.” We should always be praising and thanking God for His mercy and grace.

The fourth verse of the song speaks of the wondrous day when we will see the face of Him who ransomed us. This is a reminder of Revelation 22:4 which says, “They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.” We will one day be reunited with our Savior and be able to bask in His glory forever.

The song “Grace So Glorious” is a beautiful reminder of the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ. We should always be thankful for the sacrifice He made for us and strive to live our lives in a way that honors Him.
