Lay your weapons on

The smoke is fading before
the light
The dead are coming

Born for glory, out of dust

Mercy waits where sinners fall

The War Is Over - In the Bible [Verses & Devotional]

The war is over! We can lay down our weapons and turn around to face the light of God’s love. The dead are coming back to life, and we are no longer orphans without a home. We have found where we belong.

This song is a reminder of the victory that Jesus won for us on the cross. He has made a way for us to be born for glory out of the dust of our sin. We can be held in the arms of peace, and mercy waits for us when we fall.

The Bible tells us in Colossians 2:13-15, “And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.”

Jesus has won the victory for us, and we can be held in the arms of peace. We can be forgiven of our sins and be made alive in Him. We can be free from the bondage of sin and death, and we can live in the freedom of His love.

Let us remember the victory that Jesus won for us and be thankful for His mercy and grace. Let us lay down our weapons and turn to Him in faith and trust. He has won the victory, and He is our victor.
